Who’s had enough of working remotely?

While we firmly believe we’ve mastered the whole working-from-home thing, like most other businesses around the country we are more than ready to get back to some sense of normalcy (whatever that means in today’s environment!).

Our physical office has actually remained ‘unofficially’ open with a skeleton crew since mid-March. But as we dip our toes in the ‘official’ reopening waters on July 6, there are obviously many considerations to address as we keep the health and safety of our staff a top priority.

We’re happy to say that our small but mighty agency is armed with a plan as we continue to provide you seamless service through this whole ordeal!

While we’re excited to officially reopen the office in the near future, it doesn’t come without its share of potential bumps in the road.

The pandemic continues to be a fluid situation, and everyone’s willingness to venture out still varies widely. Flexibility remains key. Each individual situation is different and that’s why employees will have the option of coming into the office, continuing to work from home, or some combination of both.

With our goal of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, we’ll be implementing a variety of processes and safeguards that not only meet CDC guidelines but go above and beyond!

Deep Cleaning

DMS will be treating the office with BioProtect™, a new EPA-approved sanitization technology that involves the spray of a protective film on all surfaces. It kills bacteria and other microorganisms for up to 90 days. The first application will occur prior to the reopening and the process will be repeated every 60-90 days. We’ll be augmenting the BioProtect™ applications with more robust nightly office cleaning.

Entry to the building

Each morning, employees will have their temperature scanned with a touch-free infrared thermometer. Anyone exhibiting a fever will be asked to return home. We’ve assured the staff that these “phasers” have been set to ‘scan’ rather than ‘stun’!

Conference rooms

Each conference room has been assigned a designated maximum capacity to allow for proper social distancing.

Face Masks

Face masks will not be required while working within an individual’s own office or workspace. However, they are recommended in any public areas within the office. This would include when walking from one location to another and while at another person’s office or workspace. We’ve created our own very chic DMS-branded face masks – check them out. Based on employee requests they’ve been specially manufactured with the latest advancements in non-suffocating polymer technology!

Hand sanitizer

Hand sanitizer will be provided to each employee and sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the office.

Building accessibility

Building access will be temporarily limited to employees only – no outside visitors or family members until further notice. Not even the Door Dash guy delivering lunch gets in…so you know we’re serious about this!

Our hope is that these precautions will only be necessary for the short term. However, until we’re in the clear, our goal is to create a work environment where everyone feels confident that all precautions are being taken to ensure their personal safety and health!

The DMS team is here and ready to help you with anything you may need!
